Hollywood Rental Bins: Report Damage Before Cleaning

Cleaning a rental bin will not repair a broken lid, missing wheel or damaged body. For a Hollywood property, distinguish the bin's condition from its cleanliness before booking extra work. A simple condition report helps the owner decide whether the next step is cleaning, repair or replacement.

Record visible damage without handling hazards

From a safe position, identify the affected bin and describe the observable problem. Do not reach into waste or investigate an unknown spill for a better photograph. A note such as “lid does not sit in its usual position” is more useful than a guess about how the damage happened.

Keep waste removal separate

Explain whether the bin is empty and whether waste outside it requires another arrangement. Empty-bin cleaning, moving a bin and removing contents are different tasks. Confirm the accepted scope before treating any of them as part of a rental turnover.

Assign the owner decision

The property contact should decide how to pursue a damaged container and who will arrange any replacement. Avoid quoting collection rules or promising a municipal replacement without checking the property's actual arrangement. Record the temporary plan so a later cleaner does not mistake an unresolved bin problem for a missed cleaning step.
